Servo Spot Welding Guns

Can anybody contribute their experience regarding Servo Spot welding systems?. Have you used servo spot welding guns .vs. traditional spot welding systems, have you seen any real improvements, what manufacturer servo guns have you used etc.? Any input would be appreciated.

Servo Guns using an ac or dc servo motor instead of an air cylinder to apply weld force to the part.

Servo guns are the next step in the evolution of the resistance spot welding process, a servo gun is designed to work without the need of compressed air, the traditional welding cylinder is replaced with an ac or dc motor.

This allows for much greater speeds in gun opening and closing, due to the fact that the distances between the tips when the gun is open can be set to different values, via the motor, traditional guns use mid positions and high lift positions, hence the gun as to open to these positions continually. With the servo gun, if there is a flange on a part that is 5mm, the gap between tips can be opened to 6mm this is set for each weld carried out.

Currently, Obara weld gun manufacturers, are making the most proc=gress with this type of welding, any further information required, please contact my e-mail address. I have a microsoft powerpoint format presentation on the Obara servo gun system.

Hello I am Rasool Nabinejad from IRANKHODRO Co. We have so many 45 KVA transformers of guns in our project. I want to know : What is the maximum current that we can have with this transformer? Best regards.
