Still 0-0 Jay. Hi to all. Steph! Making a rare appearance here on matchday. Glad to see ya! Sounds like we've started pretty well, though Nobby seems to be having problems keeping possession

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Hi Pete in Canada! Don`t tell anybody, but the sun`s just made a fleeting appearance here!

(:o)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Toon Army in fine voice!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

0-1 Henry

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Who are on the bench ladies?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Ahhhh SH!TE...Come on lads, keep your heads up. Lets get that one back.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Buff - no worries, they are a really nice bunch!

Bugger......... 1 - 0 (:o|

Just when we sounded as though we were getting into the swing of it too. Now we`ll see what we`re made of.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Henry scores for Arsenal, sounds like Henry was twisting Aaron Hughes all over the place, like Le Tiss did a few years back against us.

Class goal by all accounts, come on lads, don't surrender.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Barsteward!

Cmon lads!! Fight back!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Look on the bright side we lasted a WHOLE 15 minutes this time :o(

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

On the bench - Cordone, Basedas, Harper, Domi ??

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

BOLLLOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXX

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

DOUBLE SHIT!!! Parlour

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

buff you obviously need to get out more!

Why do this mob miss against everyone and score against us?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

This is going to be one of those days, isn't it. :-(

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Don`t know who`s on the bench Buff, sorry.....

Oh bugger, bugger.......I`m going to stop posting! Every time I start typing ...Arsenal score.

Ooh err 2 - 0. COME ON LADS SHOW US WHAT YOU`RE MADE OF!!!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

SING WHEN YOU'RE WINNING, YOU ONLY SING WHEN YOUR WINNING!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Friggin hell.....damage limitation and we haven;t played 20 friggin minutes yet.....SHITTTTTTTTTTTT

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sorry folks, I'm obviously a jinx :-((

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

I should have stayed in the town! :o(

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Hmmm - Jay, at two goals per 15 minutes, it could be a bit of an embarrasing scoreline. FIGHT YOU BEGGARS, FIGHT!!!!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

If we battle, we can keep this from being really ugly...and MAYBE even manage a draw. FIGHT LADS!!! FIGHT!!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Alright lads, settle down now, keep it simple, keep it tight, play it wide and get after them. The Route one won't work with Adams and Keown back there.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

effin - burgh, the Jormans came back did they not, have faith, please

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Obviously we need to score the next goal, which would make them start to worry.

If they score I see a dark, dark afternoon, Wiltord and Bergkamp on the bench!!! A different league!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sounds like Acuna stood on Adam's toe. Good man!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sounds like Dyer`s getting a few knocks from the Arsenal defence. Quick they are down to ten men - ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!!!!!!!! (:O)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Lost the sound, well english anyway. If I cannot hear it in a couple of minutes I will go to the lounge and watch the smoggies play the makems!!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

HOWAY ME BONNY LADS...HOWAY!!!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Yellow for Caldwell?, foul on Kanu

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

aye Buff, sounded like the lad was putting himself about. Good for him, at least they know he's there now.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Mind you, this is a tough test for the youngsters.....I reckon if they grab one back, or even stop them scoring again, they will have not done badly! Not that I`m suggesting that we should give up yet..... COME BOYS, WE`RE ALL BEHIND YOU!!!! (:O)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Come on lads....Come on! Sounds like they're doing a little beeter. Short if ideas though, very short.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Alright, I'm still half asleep and my typing isn't up to par yet.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

What are you doing buff?

Whenever I lose the broadcast, I go to real player and it says that it is buff ering!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sounds like Dyer is playing his usual BIG game style.....he pisses off and hides AGAIN!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Totally agree Ken. I was just thinking that myself.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Hey part timer, did you get my earlier message?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

38 mins, working the ball away, but Lurex2 is on his own, no shape to team, mind u Chewsea are 3 up agin Derby. Hopefully Wenger will get cocky at ht and re-jig, and hopefully again it does not work. Hope is a major word if u follow Utd

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Oh good - Speed`s taken a knock now. (:o(

And yes, I agree .....`Dead Loss Dyer` needs to start earning his wages! (:o|

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Who's on the bench, if Speed can't play second half? Bassedas??

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Yes Gus I did.....will uplaod and post it over the weekend......it will just 'pop up' and suprise you....or at least surprise Sue!

very nearly three there.....and Speed struggling.....why do I feel this is gonna be a long hard winter?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

I know it`s a tough test, and I know it`s a cobbled team, but wouldn`t you think that this is just the sort of occasion that should bring out the best in Dyer? I feel sorry for Lua Lua, he can`t be expected to shine without some support. (:o|

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

I think this performance will tell YBR who he can keep and who he can get rid of.

I hope he uses the opportunity.

Galaxy check your email, I sent you something to read.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Galaxy......The way things are at the moment I don't think 25,000 volts would bring out the best in Dyer.......he seems intent on living down to his name.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

How is everyone? I do not get the chance to chat "live" that often.

Everyone safe from the floods? Not you ciara, not that I don't want you to be safe from floods of course!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Dyer needs a few splinters in his arse, the kind you find on the bench. Mind you, there's a few names I haven't heard mentioned very much as well, Lee?, Acuna?

Is young Ameobi (sp) on the bench. Give him a run too...why not. 2-0, 4-0, whats the diff. Nowt to lose.

Who are in the bench??? Anyone on the bench?? Come on Bobby, send them back out in a fighting mood.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

there I go repeating meself again. Getting old you know.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Settle down pete, heard you the first time!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

LOL, gus. Just went off to do some cleaning...it seemed to work last week. dont' think that little "superstition" is going to help this week.

And Howey has scored for Man City. Yep, a long winter this one, I think. We've GOT to learn to SCRAP and FIGHT!! And that means every single man on the pitch. Those not willing to scrap can make the tea.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

That's what Mrs. Pete tells me Gus, all the time.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

And I though it was only the BBC who repeated themselves.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

hello been listening over the net. bloody great. who knows whats in store for the next 45. anyone know who the subs are?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

white no sugar please ciara.

Out of interest, and if it is not too personal, what does it cost to fly US - UK?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

So what does Bobby tell them at half time?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Dig in and carve it out Sunday league style.....its the only thing left methinks.......and to think, Screacher flew in from the States specially for it.....

Speed is on the pitch at the start of the second half

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Cordone, Bassedas, Glass and ????? on the bench

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Glass for Speed?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Who will let the subs out, who who

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

What does Bobby tell em at ht, easy, Our Lord who art in blah blah

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sounds like Bobby said "Go back out and play exactly the same way".

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

He would probably tell them to get the ball to Alan, who is nice and refreshed after coming back from holidays with a really good tan!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Cynicism was never a strong point was it Gus

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

the art of living dangerously (part 2)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Busy half-time. Whistle stop tour of the dogs feeding bowls - phone call from the bairn (completely bowled over by all that concentrated Geordie accent - and she says Dyer is chronic), and just read you e mail Gus (looks like it was loads of fun!)

As for floods - we`re surrounded by them, but not flooded ourselves - but let`s not talk about floodgates and things this afternoon eh? Don`t want to tempt fate!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

pap.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

"get the ball out to Kieron Dyer, then it just stops" Hmmmmmm...

$#%%$^%@# Kanu. :-|

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh BOLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Three Nowt!!!!

Come on Bobby, we know you don't like the lad, but give Glass a run out, might just stretch their defence a little. At least he,ll take a run at them. Dyer needs an early beer. At least give us the impression we are trying to make a game of it. Bassedas, Glass on - Speed and Dyer off. Do it now Bobby, The last seven minutes will be a tad bit late.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Oh dear - it`s raining again! (That`s me changing the subject). (:o(

3 - 0

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

It's unlikely to stay that way but at the moment Geordie is sitting on 15 points in the prediction game! (3-0 Henry)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

who mentioned floodgates??

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Its not cynicism ITK, I think some better players are on the bench than on the park.

Just using my perogative to air my views. The sooner we get rid of Barton Lee Speed and apparently Dyer the better.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Oh, and to answer your question, Gus....it depends on when you fly. My ticket was about $500(fees/tax incl). Would have been nearly $400 more to leave anytime from about the 18th to 24th. :-o

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Ahh what the hell, put Cordone into the game as well, give Lua Lua a hand up there. Sounds like Nobby is having a stinker as well.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Round trip?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Fecking Hackems have scored.......Gray 54

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

So these scrambled eggs I'm eating are very tasty. Think I'll go make a glass of chocolate milk now. Anybody want anything while i'm in the kitchen?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Excellent. They're 'resting' players. Perhaps they're worried now.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps please Ciara

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

any chance of a bacon & egg sarny??

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

No thanks Ciara, It will keep me awake all night

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Yes, Gus. Probably would have been cheaper still if I'd waited until after the holidays, but I can watch us lose 5 times instead of the 1 or 2 in any similar period later on. ;-)))

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Amstel or Broon, Itk? Have also got Stoly and Cranberry juice if you're in need of anything stronger.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Coming right up, TGJ!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

but I can watch us lose 5 times instead of the 1 or 2 in any similar period later on. ;-)))

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sounds like Arsenal are taking the p*** now. Stoly...hmmmm......

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

All I can say, is Wor Bobby must really love the game to be able to live with this!

Got any coffee cake Ciara?

LOL Tony - they will probably put the tea lady in goal next!

But we have fun don`t we {:o]

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Have a look at your globe buff, I'm about as far away as you can get!

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Just keeping my expectations low...so I'll be happier when we actually pick up points.

Glass and Domi on for Lee and Griffin. Bergkamp on for Kanu.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Good point ITK - isn`t it nice how we can still joke in the face of adversity..........(:o|

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Stop thanking this Chrsit and choose a proper religion ITK

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sorry chaps, been doing the Xmas shopping on Amazon!!

A bit of a learning process for everbody concerned today, including the Chairman! Doubtless Bobby has seen it all before.

I didn't expect much more than this to be honest, pleased to see Glass and Domi given a chance to re-establish their relationship.

Anything to take my mind off this game.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

She's got very good taste.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

But would you give us your last one Tony? (;o)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

C'mon lads....this game is still there for the winning.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Nice one Pete - you managed to make me laugh1 (:o)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

ITK what are you drinking??

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

You have said that before ITK, but how much is it for a pair of prescription sunglasses?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

No joking though - it could have been a truly horrendous scoreline.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Geordie drops out of the main running.....Dougal and Pit Bill both said 4-0 top the Arse although PB didn't name a scorer and Dougal named Vierra.

A few people get the points for Henry scoring the first.....Pete in C, Geordie, Roxy, and Clarky

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Well I'll be off to bed, another lousy Sunday for Mrs gus.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Nice to hear the Toon Army still singing

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Gal, it is a truly horrendous scoreline, however, given the kids we had to play, I agree it could have been a heck of a lot worse. Credit to the Kids, Kick in the arse for the seniors. (except Given of course)

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

my glasses match my eyes.......they are red (rose tinted) as well.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Afternoon gang - any score yet?

Been down 't pub watching manure demolish Charlton, along with a few hackems who expected their derby game to be on the Jorman cable channel. Canny lads actually, despite everything.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

You've GOT to be freakin kidding me!!! PARLOUR HATTRICK??!!!!! Did Bobby call our lads in early or something?

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sweet Jesus - I hope the bairn`s not taking this too personally! {:o{

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Yeeessss get in.

No one picked 5-0 did they ITK

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

We need the whistle blower inside the club, thanx for concern Galaxy, good days, bad days when I am not my ebulliant self, weaning myself off steroids, side effects not nice, rattling with the pills they give me, its just too easy for them

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Nah.....4-0 was the closest......that is probably the worst we have been in god knows how long.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Sounds like Barton rounded up a few of the team to go over and applaud the supporters. At least that's what it sounded liek...hard to hear over the tannoy

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

I've had enough. Back to work.

-- Anonymous, December 09, 2000

Fecking Hackems won 1-0 as well.......presumably that cheering is for 3-3 at Charlton

Just the five then! My husband (Arsenal supporter) just popped his head round the door and said ` If this was a boxing match, they would have stopped it!` - And I have to also live with the fact that Southampton won! (:o|

Well at least the company was sintilating (as usual). Speak to you all later!

A depleted side would need to have a settled formation to get any result. Unfortunately we are not being allowed to get the settled formation due to injuries.

We are in trouble now and the team needs re-building around the likes of Hughes, Caldwell, Griffin, Acuna, Bassedas and even Dyer. The problem with Dyer's 'best position' is not doing us any favours at all. Away from home and without Shearer should we be playing Solano?

I'm afraid investment is needed if only to lift the lads. With the youngsters at the club who have played in the first team we have real hope for the future, but we have to keep the present alive as well.

I'm not reading too much into this result as Arsenal could do this to anybody, we may have given them a few chances but who doesn't and we won't be the last team to get walloped by Arsenal.

Here's to the next game!
