I need to know if the movie is actually scary? And if the movie is different from the original story? And if I should rent it?

I have saw the movie. We had to watch the movie in our english class. It wasn't too scary. There were a coulpe of parts that were sorta scary. I haven't saw or read the original story so I don't know how they are different. I thought it was an OK movie. If that helps you decide on renting it or not.

the movie is not worth renting. It changes important sequences of the original story plus it is made so bad, with so little quality and sense, that you are not horrified by the story but by the terrible making of this "film". Don't watch it, the story is much better (if you read the story twice, you'll understand it better ;)
