Music Match Jukebox and 1 cdrom/burner

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have replaced my original CD-Rom drive with a Panasonic CW-7586.Computer was maxed out and wouldn't support more IDE devices.

The problem is when I had to reinstall Musicmatch jukebox 6.0.25 ,it only allows me to set the 'recorder' to import music cd's into a mp3 format ,but when I tried to use the program to burn a CD mix I can't get acess to the CD Rom drive .The option to select a drive is grayed out in the burner setting 'options'.I'm running WinMe and have got a few dll errors when I tried to load a earlier version on the other drive 'C' and run the 'burner' side. The message is that a 'cd-r drive must be installed to burn cd's'.

Any ideas what setting/files to change to allow me to use the same drive to import cd and burn new mix's ? Is this a problem with the program? When I first changed the burner I was able to burn ,but could not import.Note this was when the software was already installed and the device was changed afterwards.I'm running WinOnCd and its working fine.I want to use the Music Match in addtion but can't figure out what to change to get both functions to work off one drive.

help would be much appreciated

Dan
