TALLAHASSEE, Dec. 8 — In another big loss for Democrats and Al Gore, the judges in two Florida lawsuits ruled that absentee ballots in two counties would not be thrown out. "Fla. Court Orders Manual Recounts

The Florida Supreme Court ordered manual recounts to begin in Florida's contested presidential election on Friday, breathing new life into Al Gore's quest for the White House.

''Because time is of the essence, the recount will commence immediately,'' said the court's spokesman, Craig Waters.

So we have recounts starting again, the Lewis and Clark decisions going to the Supremes, the Cheney residency decision going to the Supremes, and [I'd assume] the Supreme's decision on the recount going to the Supremer Supremes, probably along with the Supreme's explanation of their LAST judgment.

I doubt that anyone can say "Politics is boring" anymore.
