TMPGEnc encoding problem

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Well I have an *.avi movie file in 2 parts. I converted the first part perfectly without any trouble, but when i convert the 2nd part of the movie, at about 33% (ran three times, same error,) i get this message: "invalid floating point operation"

Using TMPGEnc encoder 12a I think. I don't really know what the problem is but if you could help me out i'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

The problem is not with TMPGEnc but with the avi file. If the file is corrupted then you get this message. You can play avi file and see some kind of video glitch for a second or two. I have come across same problem and I am waiting for a software which can repair the avi files or edit out the corrupted part andthen I join them with Peckjoin. Hope this helps.

Anyone find a 'cure' for the invalid floating point?
