The "Poe Toaster"

The "Poe Toaster" is the name of the mysterious person that visits his grave site and leaves a bottle of cognac and 3 roses on his death date. I was told there has been pictures of this person taken and printed in newspapers and such. Anyone know where I can find this pictures? Thanks.

There was an article sometime in the late 1980's in Life magazine about Poe and his mysterious graveside visitor. There is a fuzzy black and white picture of the visitor at the grave. I would suggest going to the library and using the periodical guide sometime around 1986-88. Good luck, it should be well worth it.

Here is an online copy of the picture from Life. The original really isn't much better looking than what appears here: The Poe Toaster
