After inserting all the MPG files into Nero's list, select all of them and right-click. Then select properties from the popup menu, and set the time in between clips to 1.

Did you try the Disc-At-Once option before burning the VCD. Turning this off would eliminate any gaps between tracks.

are you saying to check the "disc at once" box or to uncheck it? either way, I still get a small pause between VCD tracks.

This is a problem with Nero(all version). This software is not meant to be used as chaptering or menu driven VCD. You can turn on any options or limit the time down to zero if you like, and the result will be the same; You will not be able to eliminate the pauses between the clips. Nero is meant to be used as one single track burn and that's that. If you want chaptering or menu driven VCD, then try Video Pak4 or EZ CD Deluxe. Both of these softwares will fix the pauses between the clips for you. However, the burn quality is not always 100% playable as Nero.

Try setting the crossfade feature (under properties) to 1 second. Works perfectly for tying concert cuts together.
