Have we got a new coach on the way?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

BENFICA coach Jose Mourinho has resigned, despite leading his side to a 3-0 crunch victory over Sporting Lisbon,

Is this Bobby's mate that he tried to bring to the club when Bobby first arrived here? I saw a story that Bobby did for a Portugese paper about a couple of weeks ago and he said he would have loved to have him at NUFC.

Well considering we seem to have had the current coaches forever and nowts changed, Id like to see some new faces.

I'm always amazed at the number of people in our dug out area when the TV cameras focus on that area. How many coaches do we have anddo they all have to sit in the dug out?!

We could have around 7 or more (excluding reserve coach):

Simon Smith (Goalkeeper Coach)
Bobby Robson (manager)
Mick Wadsworth (Head Coach)
John Carver (Coach)
Derek Wright (Physiotherapist)
Paul Ferris (Physiotherapist)
Paul Winsper (Fitness Coach)

Simon Smith (Goalkeeper Coach) John Carver (Coach) Paul Winsper (Fitness Coach)

Surely these have done their job in the week and can make any observations fromt the stand. Bobby and MIck should know in their mind what they expect to do.

I'm of the opinion that Newcastle's year in year out never ending injury crisis must be caused by something or other.
Remember our run in the Euro Cup and defeat home and away to PSV, we were on our arse with injurys.
Feckin Spiderheed called in a Catholic Priest to rid the club of an injury situation unknown to him in 25 years in football.
It's only the last couple of seasons we never put out the same 11 for Ohh! I forget, feckin something incredible, like 80 games.>br> Young Bob can not figure out his best 11 and use this as a cornerstone for the future because of yet other crisis.

I ask a simple question: in this day of personal diets and fittness programmes, have we arseholes looking after this at Newcastle?

A topic discussed with regularity on here, due in no small part to our crisis that happens every couple of months.

A lot of other clubs have had really bad injury problems i.e Leeds and Everton (but that serves them right for buying our crocks). However, clubs like the Hackems (spit) have had relatively few injuries and have fielded Quinn and Phillips for most of the season, although I think that Quinn is needing a rest like Shearer. I'm sure we would have won more games if we had Shearer, Cort and Goma fit for the season so far.

We only need 4 more and we could put out a full eleven! Now we know the real reason they extended the Milburn.

Screacher,

You can add, Alan Irvine, Tommy Craig, and that skinny little blerk that used to play left back for us in the late 70's who's name escapes me right now. He's coaching the young uns.
We're still one short, so you'll have to play CB until either we can afford to get another S/American in or Marcelino is fit to play (Easter 2002 is the latest estimate!).
