i tried to export the avi file back to MiniDV tape. The file size is not big, certainly less than 2GB. but during the process of exporting, 1 or 2 parts of the video will freeze for 1 sec. the video pause for a while and continues. i have no choice but to do it all over again. does anyone know why it happens?? sometimes times it does that but other time its smooth.

i have had similar problems with my DV 200 using DV TOOLS. What i had done was purchased a new fire wire cable, it seems to be working smoother now, at least for now.

I had a similar problem, but fortunatly i found the way to fix it .

I used ulead media studio 6 to create my dv file. Now, if i play the file back using ulead i get your problem, using Main Actor 3.5 it work fine. The problem is that the file you are tring to export to tape is not in the right dv format (type 1 or type 2).
