So, who's going? Also, does anyone who's not going but would like an issue raised (other perhaps than that we should flog Marcelino. With holly that has been sharpened razor blades) want to put it here so that those of us who are going can try to get it answered?

Alan Shearer is one of the best finishers in the world. Why has the club not done everything to ensure hes had the chance to build a lethal, regular partnership with a suitable striker. I dont care if they tried with Ferguson and Cort- one decent possible partner at a time isnt enough ;-)

The Delboy & Toilets results have been published (lifted form the Strawberry - thanx Joe) and it appears we are still in the top 20 despite floundering in the bottom half of the premiership. Think where we'll be next year after the half time pints are totted up - which btw at Mboro didn't wait until half time befor they served, which meant you didn't have to miss the 5 mins before the end and 5mins into the restart (after queuing for 15 mins to get served) or indeed spill half down your shirt having to rush. Back to the results;
1. Man Utd (£110.9million)
2. Bayern Munich (£83.5million)
3. Real Madrid (£76.1million)
4. Chelsea (£59.1million)
5. Juventus (£58.5million)
6. Barcelona (£55.7million)
7. AC Milan (£54.1million)
8. Lazio (£50million)
9. Inter Milan (£49.1million)
10. Arsenal (£48.6million)
11. Liverpool (£45.3million)
12. Newcastle Utd (£44.7million)
13. Parma (£44.4million)
14. Borussia Dortmund (£43.9million)
15. Tottenham (£42.6million)
16. AS Roma (£39.4million)
17. Leeds Utd (£37million)
18. Rangers (£36.5million)
19. Aston Villa (£34.9million)
20. Celtic (£33.8million)

Those results are for the 1998-99 season, so I'd expect us to fall further before we climb again.

All this table demonstrates is the miracle we've performed in snatching failure, anonymity and poverty from the very jaws of relative fiscal strength.
Depressing reading, actually.

Sorry, I got diverted there.
I'd like the Club to explain it's rationale for making any dividend payment when it is concurrently reporting a loss of £19 million - dividends are intended to be a distribution of profits!
IMHO, this dividend payment principally rewards the major management shareholders for financial failure, and imprudently weakens the Balance Sheet at a time of great uncertainty, and when the Club is deep in debt.

Bet you wish you hadn't asked!

NUFC.com report that at the AGM yesterday the Resolution to accept the formation of a Supporters Trust was defeated.

They report "As we understand it, Shepherd and Hall voted against the Trust while everybody else voted in favour (80 million shares v 14 million, we believe)".

I find this autocratic action staggering - even by NUFC standards.

It is crap, Clarky. In fact, shameful, if it's true.

Dougal,

I thought you were going to the AGM? Did injury rule you out?

I was going and Merchant Taylors is about a hundred yards from where I work. However, I was getting bollocked about something at the time. I did actually have a little wander without crutches on Friday... However, I'll get the full gen from the true faith people nad post it here.

NUFC.com reckon only 40 or so shareholders turned up!

Compare that to a full Civic Centre Banqueting Suite at both the previous AGM's - maybe 500 shareholders - and it's entirely clear to see why the meeting was held in Lahndon when the three key items on the Agenda were:

1. the approval of annual accounts showing a loss of £19 million,
2. the obscene payment of a dividend despite the massive loss - that principally benefits the two major shareholders, and
3. the refusal by the two major shareholders to allow the formation of the proposed Supporters Trust.

Is it really any wonder the Club is going down the pan?
