It's definatley Tell Tale Heart. The story ofthe old father like figure with the vulture eye, whois killed by the man going cRaZy.He can still hear the old mans clock ticking underneth the floorboards once he is visited by the police.

It should be noted, though, that it is not actually his heart beating, but a psychological feeling of guilt projecting the sound in the speaker's head, making him believe it is "The beating of his hideous heart!"

It is for sure "the tell tale heart". The pit and the pendullum is about a man who's locked in a dungeon.

Tall Tale Heart is the name of the book. When I was a child it was a very scary book. I've read it many times since then. A very vivid story to say the least.

A Tell-tale Heart. And if you listen closely while reading you will it's not the heart of the older man but of the murder. He here's his own heart in his anxiety.
