Any of our North of the Border correspondents care to enlightne us on Burchill. I heard he had amazing pace and can finish well, sounds like a good buy for £1.5 million?

Birmingham City are stalling on a permanent move for on-loan Celtic striker Mark Burchill. The two clubs agreed a fee of £1.5million before the Burchill moved to St Andrews but the player still does not know where his future lies.

I know Buff's a big fan of the lad.
You get the feeling there's something wrong with this one - why have none of the bigger clubs shown an interest? However, he's young, a full international and not a big gamble at that price, unless of course he's a "wrong 'un".

I've heard Scottish callers on 606 saying he'd only be Div 1 standard. Seems to have spent a bit of time on the bench at Brum, hardly ringing endorsement...bit like LLL at Colchester come to think of it...
