the other 10 charges have also been dropped as the jurors knew about the evidence from the 4 dropped allegations. So looks like he'll be looking for a job.

Hopefully not as a care worker....just in case eh ;)

Would he be happy at Middlesboro?

Nah Dave - too many oldies at Boro and not enough bairns.

A remarkable case though but. The man has lost 18 months of his life and will always have a hint of suspicion and innuendo associated with him (witness one or two remarks here already!)

Doesn't he have a right of redress against those who have made (presumably) spurious allegations? Weird.

Only place he wants to get a job is at Leeds......'Ahm telling you boy.....you'll never win owt wi kids' (thank oyu Alan Hanson)

Seriously though, assuming that it was right that the charges were all dropped and he is innocent, don't you reckon he has held himself up well under the circumstances. He hasn't ranted and raved about a miscarriage of justice or anything like that. He has just quietly worked with his defence team and put together a case that appeared to exonerate(?sp) him completely.

Dignity with the guy. 80)

Cheap jibes asside, I have to agree with you ITK. Jones never made a fuss - just got on with the job. Now, I know in English law, he is innocent (and I wouldn't claim any different). However, this merely says he hasn't been proved guilty. There's going to be a lot of people wary of Dave Jones.

I'd be surprised if he got another job in British football with such high profile. Only Soton if they had any moral fibre - they simply relieved him of the post temporarily while he was under the spotlight. Interesting to see how they react now.

Perhaps his best bet is to try somewhere on the continent where his past is less well known.
