Why did the narrator stay with Roderick Usher or why did he stay in the house after seeing it's condition? (I need to know two reasons)

He stayed because as you stay with a person, you begin to tak on his/her qualities, and the narrator becme as nervous as usher. Also, he wanted to support a childhood friend
