Question to ne1 out there

ok im trying to make a karaoke version using ulead video studio i used nero to make vcd to play on my dvd....it works fine and play fine it even have text and words to sing and follow,but what im trying to do is make it like a karaoke. is there any way or any prog so you can remove the voice and just play the background music same as karaoke its like a menu or something...

VCD permits stereo sound, ie one left channel and one right channel. When you make your Mpeg1 file, make left channel with music & no singing voice, and right channel with music & singing voice. DVD, VCD players or amplifiers with Karaoke functions will provide buttons to select stereo, left channel or right channel audio. Set to left channel audio, you sing with mike and music. Set to right channel or stereo, you watch video and listen to music with singing voice.

Thanx for the tip tom...is there any program that removes or cut the voice on an mp3 or wav format songs...
