I understand that Poe's that feelings for death came from the death of his love one's but did that truly unlock his genius?

Was the Deaths of his loved one's the reason for his origination of teh horror genre?

Once Virginia, his wife, died he kinda of lost his grip on sanity and so that contributed to the orgination of the horror genre. I'd check the dates of when his loved one's died and when he began writing horrors. They may coincide.
