Ignore answer # 1. Poetry is ancient. Two of the older poems are the "Iliad" and "The Odyssey," from ancient Greece. They are believed to have been composed by a blind poet named Homer. I am sure you can find information on those two poems by going to an online encyclopedia, such as britannica.com. YOu can also look up poetry on that site.
