Work permits .... NO NEED

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Work permits could be on there way out. ... Well at least for some players from NON EU Countries . A court in Spain has ruled that Valery Karpin who plays for Celta Vigo does not need a work permit despite being Russian. The Russians Co-operation agreement with the EU means that players from that country and others from countries that have similar Collaboration and Association agreements will not need to hold a work permit to work in the EU. It is feared that Football managers throughout the EU will now be looking for cheap players from Eastern Europe as an alternative to more expensive European players.Bobby Robson will no doubt set his aids the task of finding out which (if any) South American countries fall into the same category. So my question is, Which countries as well as Russia and Ukraine have agreements with the European comunity? China? Peru? Paraguay? Argentina? Brazil, Chile? USA? Someone on here must know where there is a list.

I'd like to know when exactly we're going to see some work from these lads, now they've been permitted to do so.
