Surprised there has been no mention on here, but this incident has in my eyes has bolstered my belief in club doctors when this board has at tomes of late been scathing in their criticisms of club medical staff and injuries to players. Jamie Fullarton of Dundee Utd who has recently recovered from leg break went down last weekend, not a victim of a tackle, more of studs holding, rather innoccusley. His right ankle can be seen to be at 90%, and he appears to be shouting double break. Dr Cormack ,assisted by two para-medics stretchered him off, inspection revealed both a break and discolation. In a 7 min period, the good doctor realised that blood was not getting thro to the foot, if not dealt with pronto there was a very high possibility of the foot being amputated. Couple of pain killers and Doc reset the foot rubber doll fashion, Jamie expects to be in training before end of season.

Keith Burtenshaw(remember him), Aberdeen`s Director of Football quit yesterday after 3 years, aged 65, he wants to spend more time with his family. he was employed as a "starfinder", never did find out what he did tho.

Former Norwich and Aberdeen Chief Ex Off, wait for it "Gordon Bennett" who was fired/resigned from his £100,000 year post in August is now working as a temp postie for £200 per week. 2 weeks into his job at Aberdeen his car was stopped by police in the harbour area of the city after a period of cruising. He said he was being new to the city , looking for the quickest way from his hotel to the ground !!! He left the club on medical grounds, lost his vocal chords it seems, two weeks later the kiss n tell ladies of the night appear.

Apolgies to Galaxy, been up here to long , a set of empty coal tubs doon a pit are `chummins`, so used to saying " Oi my glass is teem, get em in"

For info Clarky, took your advice of a few months ago, my work colleague has booked Rosemount, Blairgowrie as one of our outings next year, one of my pals rates it on a par with Gleneagles. Buff

Can not sign off without wishing Alan Stubbs our best wishes and hope he makes a speedy recovery from his latest set back. C`mon Scouse you can do it, from all Toon fans on this board.

I think you'll enjoy Rosemount Buff - beautiful countryside, but you already know that.
I'm afraid my golf clubs are out of action as I'm suffering (and really suffering) from my 2nd 'frozen' shoulder in two years. I've only been able to play for 4 months in the last 26, and at this point Easter looks an optimistic target to get going again by.

I'll second your best wishes to Alan Stubbs, and sincerely hope he beats the big C yet again.

Add me to those wishing Alan Stubbs well. The lad needs all the support he can get right now.

One snippet I read this morning with utter disbelief, the Smoggies are considering offering Graham Rix a coaching position.......words fail me.

How about "Rix in Under age sex capital of England shocker"

-- Anonymous, December 02, 2000

His sexual proclavities aside, Rix is a good coach and the Boro need one badly.
"Lock up your daughters, all you Smoggies!"

Buff - `reset the foot rubber doll fashion` - OOOOOOOOHH, painful! {:o@

Reminds me of what Pete told me about his motorcycle accident. Obviously he jokes about it now - about coming to a rest with his right foot pointing backward over his right shoulder. He can remember turning his head and seeing his boot, but not realising his foot was still in it! But he also says that had he realised how brutally honest the paramedic was being when he told him that they would have to straighten his leg before they could put him in the ambulance, and that it was going to hurt, he probably would have just grabbed his leg and hopped into the ambulance!(:o#
