question about encoded textsgreenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread |
I read a CNN report about some encrypted text that Poe wrote that was only just recently decoded by a student. The article said 'It was one of two encoded texts that Poe presented as the work of a "Mr. W.B. Tyler," challenging readers to break their codes.' On Dec 1, 2000, the article could be accessed at http://www.cnn.com/2000/books/news/12/01/poe.ap/index.html.Are the original texts available anywhere online?

Me again! I searched on Yahoo and found a very interesting site called "The Edgar Allan Poe Cryptographic Challenge" (http://www.bokler.com/eapoe.html). It has more information on the cryptograms.
