Two tribes anger what a load of biased shite. A disgrace to the to all Newcastle fans...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

To quote a Newcastle fan sitting at the Tyne at Wallsend, ‘Over the river is Mackem land!’

Was the guy sitting there prompted to say such a stupid thing? I THINK HE WAS.

Does the producer of that show not realise that South Tyneside IS black n’ white? I believe the twat does. The clever little bastard wants us the audience to believe and perceive that South Tyneside is Red ‘n’ White, so hence to put it simply in the future twenty years from a child in South Tyneside will feel it’s HIS BIRTH RIGHT TO BE A MACKEM. Hence SUNDERLAND AFC BRAND GETS STRONGER AND NEWCASTLE UNITED BRAND GETS WEAKER!

Call me paranoid but I believe this is calculated properganda. And I bet this properganda is linked in some way to the Sunderland AFC hierarchy. Well put it this way they wouldn’t complain to getting a further 150000 supporters - excluding Gateshead of course.

At this moment in time South Tyneside is Black n’ white, Jarrow 70/30NUFC, Hebburn 90/10NUFC, South Shields 50/50. I don’t want that to change in any negative way. (North and South Tyneside -along with Durham, Cumbria and Northumbria- belongs to Newcastle, in fact I want this whole area to be swallowed up to be known as Newcastle. I don’t want the mackems getting their grubby little hands on it and calling it Sunderland, do you? Which usually happens over time when cities evolve and grow, e.g. look at London.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunderland The Regional Club --------------------------------

Also the show went on to boast in the biased fashion that SUNDERLAND ARE THE REGIONAL club, with just 30% of their match day supporters from Sunderland’s SR post code. That pisses me off! We are the regional club, we get the biggest gates, we always have and I want this to continue. Their support is closed in not ours.

Can you imagine about 100 years ago if the teacher James Allen and Co.(older SAFC hierarchy), decided not to move their club over the wear bridge to Roker, to be close to the border of the growing population of South Tyneside (Magpie Tyneside stronghold)..........

Sunderland would now in my opinion now be getting crowds of between 15 to 30 thousand averages - a lot of South Tynesiders would be feeling closer to Newcastle because they are loyal to their river.

Sunderland AFC would just be getting people from Sunderland, as how it should be. You just bloody wouldn’t get South Tynesiders ‘choosing to be a traitor’ to a club which doesn’t even play in it’s own town, that has the cheek to play across their river on our territory.

Thus that club wouldn’t be strategically placed geographically, which would of made all South Tynesiders feel loyal to their river Tyne. And Sunderland’s support even more closed in.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just before some one from Newcastle himself says S/Tyneside is Makem land. Why doesn’t that ignorant sod realise that NUFC represents the Tyne. Just look at the Haymarket and Monument metro stations on a match day to see what I mean. You get more people going home to Pelaw, S/Shields than to any place North of the river. You can’t get a seat on a train to South of the river. You can to the North.

The biggest crime is not getting beat of Sunderland, but Sunderland’s hopefully vain attempt to eat away at our future supporters.

Move back to Sunderland, Sunderland AFC, move back over the wear is what I say, SMB’s..........

Yours,

The Culture, Land and Defence secretary of the United states of Newcastle assembly,

T. Dan. Smith ;)

Clarky it just pisses me off that the editorial team of that lame documentary had the nerve to prompt that fan on the docks in wallsend, to say all mackems in general come from over over the river. In so they are 'assuming and advertising' that it's a south tynesiders birth right to be a mackem.

When in fact, in my opinion (and the mass majority of South Tyneside) it's your birth right to be a NUFC fan if you live on any part of Tyneside. We cant help it if Roker and the SOL is placed strategically on our side of the river, to poach a NUFC stronghold.

Remember 'that over the river is probably half the toons local support.'

Pilgrim I know I'm paraniod, but what would you do if some one called you a mackem? ;-)

Aye but all of us north of the river KNOW that we are the chosen ones. True Geordies not half casts like you southerners.

Made a point of avoiding that programme like the plague, so all I know about it is hearsay. The slant would probably have been completely the opposite if we'd stuffed them in the derby.

Sounds like it had the desired effect with one or two of us, though Must admit that being a Mag and living in hakkem land does test your long suffering abilities. I just rely on the built in natural arrogance that being a Mag gives you, that let's me shrug my shoulders and tell them to 'make the most of it - it won't last'.

It's only other Mags know how I really feel. I'd never admit to a hakkem that they're momentarily (derby wise) in the ascendant - it won't be too long before they're back in the ass-endant.
