MATCH 16 ASTON VILLA (away)

After a bolstered start to the week following a 2-1 home win against Liverpool on Sunday, the week deteriorated badly and we again saw any hopes of winning silverware in the form of the Worthington Cup disappear with a last minute goal defeat at Nationwide First Division Birmingham.

Saturday see's the lads still in the midlands with a visit to Villa Park to take on Suzi's Broon's fave Daveeeeeeed and Alchofrolic Mersonary at Aston Villa.

We have a good record at Villa Park with four wins, two draws and just one defeat in the seven Premiership matches we have played there.

However, as those good burghers over at NUFC.com seem keen to tell anyone who will listen, last season, when we lost in the Worthington Cup to Birmingham, the lads stayed in the Midlands for a match on the Saturday against Coventry, and we then went on to lose 4-1. Lets hope that doesn't happen this time round eh, especially as I'm going to the match!

Well, based on present form, I'm certain we're gonna win this one. Let's see - where did I put that pin? Right - Bobby Lee to score first in a 3-1 win. There - that didn't hurt too much. Villa are a mid-table average side. About the same as us. But we hurt, so we're gonna hurt them.
