'Shearer needs help' - Beardsley ^top

Peter Beardsley says Alan Shearer needs more help in attack after watching the Magpies again crash out of the Worthington Cup at Birmingham. The Geordie legend was desperately disappointed to see his old side go down at St. Andrews after they had taken the lead through Kieron Dyer inside fifteen minutes

"They have a lot of talented players but somehow it doesn't always work. We looked the more cultured side but Birmingham perhaps looked more dangerous. We didn't look comfortable at the back and Alan Shearer clearly needs more support up front."

Pretty ffing obvious to a footballing genius like Beardsley. Try to tell him how to attck and he'll sit down and tell you a thing or two!

Surely with modern science we could transplant Pedro's brain into Lua-Lua.
