Saha

Saha scored his 20th goal of the season tonight. There's a fairly obvious question to be asked and it begins with 'why'. And it's not hindsight - I don't remember it being very clear at the time why we'd let him go....?

I was wondering when someone was going to bring this one up.

Bet he will score against us next season.

That goes without saying Gene. The only question is HOW MANY he'll score against us !

Sorry folks - gallows humour is the only way I can keep going on black days like today. I promise I'll go back now to be the good, quiet little NUFC footsoldier, optimistically dreaming of the day we lift some silverware.

Didn't Steve Bull once make a similarly impressive 1st division goal spree? And he was premiership class, wasn't he?

Personally, I'd like to keep the number of Frenchmen in our side to a strict minimum.

Also, apart from the Blackburn goal, what did he do for us?

He scored against Coventry the game before as well.

As I recall, we wanted Saha on another loan and weren't prepared to stump up the money that Metz wanted. We COULD have bought him but as he was crocked for most of the loan period we wanted to take another look.

He may well have been brilliant for us... then again he's banging them in against Nationwide defences.... unlike our forwards who aren't! :-((

His record for us was:

Started 6

On as sub in 6 (3 times for Maric, 2 for Ketsy and 1 for Andersson)

1 yellow and 2 goals

We claimed exactly half the available points in those games.
