What took ye so long Jesse?

Like many of you, I find little time to peer into the magic box these days but there is one show I try to catch….’The Spin Room’ on CNN. The two moderators will take the events of the day and give them the proper thrashing they so dearly deserve. They seem to attract the cream of the political crop as live guests and before it’s over, everyone is laughing, at themselves and each other. Tonight was a little bit different. Who should appear at this critical juncture of the year 2000 election fiasco but the Reverend Jesse Jackson hisself? It has been a miracle that Jackson has NOT been more in the spotlight to this point considering the ramifications of the West Palm Beach situation.

Not any longer.

Jesse came right out and blamed the West Palm Beach situation as a by-product of racial profiling and dissing of the black people. He said the poor blacks were purposely confused and intimidated throughout the election ballot process. The African-American community is in need of all of the quality support they can muster but I suggest that the ‘Reverend’ has lost his credibility as a standard bearer. Tonight, IMHO, he set his people back a few paces and cast an even bigger shadow over the Democrat’s shenanigans in South Florida. Personally, I expected this strategy from the current administration but I’m confident that Bush will prevail and once again our country will have respectable leadership. Key word here; ‘respectable’

Unk, may you keep the strength of character to allow this new forum to ebb and flow, as it will. I for one will try to keep my comments respectable, but never shying away from a good verbal joust. So, you bleeding heart liberals better get a good grip on your chads and get ready to rumble.

Barry,

If you remember Bill Press from his LA based KFI radio days am sure you know the man doesn't belive even half of what he says. Called his talk show a couple of times and he tried either to box with Socratic method or just flat change the subject outright. The guy was a goober then and a barely more polished goober now. Reality means nothing in the face of the goal for Bill. Read $$$$. Glad I had a chance to "see" him in his early days and hope U did as well.

No one listens to the racist Jesse Jackson. When he speaks, everyone rolls their eyes and tunes him out.
