Rob Lee: From a selfish point of view as a Newcastle player, no. But if I was an Englishman I would want him in charge. People say we didn’t have any coaches to put forward but for someone with his experience to be overlooked is wrong. They’ve picked Peter Taylor and Steve McClaren from Manchester United. I think if they worked under Bobby they would have enjoyed it and they would have reaped all his experience. But like all of us he’s not getting any younger and the club decided they wanted him at Newcastle full-time.
