It’s over: Washington Times

Washington Post

When the Washington DC editorials of BOTH major newspapers (Demo AND Republican leaning) indicate it's time to pull the plug, the plug will soon be pulled.

Al thinks that if he stalls long enough and throws enough lawyers into the mix, that he will somehow miraculously be granted the Presidency. IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN....

I figured it was over when Gore's team attacked the military absentee vote. How un-patriotically stupid can they be?

"How un-patriotically stupid can they be?"

It's not just stupidity, it's a mind-set. If you look at where Gore put the overwhelming majority of his effort in his highly touted mission to "downsize" the federal government, it was in the Defense Department.

The liberals regard the military as inherently evil (same as they regard guns as inherently evil). Under them, the Defense Department would not only be further down-sized, but put under United Nations control to attempt to neutralize the nationalistic tendencies of the military.

Can anyone tell me why Gore claims that if all the votes were counted (his way) florida voters would have chosen him instead of Bush?

These same people have elected a Repbulican Governor and Republican majority to their Legislature. Is it not conceivable to him, that those same voters would not select a Republican for President?

Gore reminds me of an actor who escaped from a bad skit on Saturday Night Live.

"Can anyone tell me why Gore claims that if all the votes were counted (his way) florida voters would have chosen him instead of Bush?" Because the early call for the state to Gore, later retracted, discouraged a fair number of Republicans in the Eastern half of the state from voting and actually did make it what the Democrats would regard as competitive*.

*Democratic dictionary:

competitive (kum-pet-i-tiv)
1. from the Chicagoan; "We can steal this if we hustle"
2. to recount interminally, twisting the cards until all of your chads fall out.
3. Close enough to drag out in court until the other side gives up and decides it really doesn't want it that bad.
