Availability of adapter to use a No. 00 lens in a No. 0 shutter?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

The 00 shutter on my 58mm/f5.6 Grandagon finally died yesterday and rather than try to have it repaired, I'm wondering if there are any off-the-shelf adapters available that will let me remount it into a No. 0 shutter. Do such things exist and if so, where can I get one?

Thanks!

Oo oo ooo! I get to say it first!

I don't know of any off-the-shelf parts, you can contact Steve Grimes (www.skgrimes.com) and he can probably build adapter rings if such a thing doesn't already exist.

However, if you have to pay for a custom adapter, you might be better off trying to find a used (or even new) 00 shutter.
