FS is right in some respects - if you don't want to play for the Toon, then sod off. But to slam any players in public and then expect someone to want to buy them is extremely stupid.

It's no big loss in the long run if Goma, Domi, and Marcellino leave. By my reckoning that just leaves Dyer of TDO's signings still in the first team picture. We're better off finishing mid-table with Caldwell and Hughes in the team. The only worry is that Caldwell's contract negotiations are being made public.

The Journal gave the impression that Caldwell's agent was causing the problems - surprise surprise!

It wouldn't be a surprise if the agent kept telling him to hold out for more money, knowing he'll get more money himself.

Caldwell was put on the transfer list last season and now the club are in desperate need for his services!

The Journal article also quoted Caldwell as wanting to stay at NUFC for life. I don't think this will be a problem.

The kid's agent knows the Club needs him right now and is just using a bit of unexpected negotiating muscle to get his client a bit more dosh.
This really is just run of the mill day-to-day stuff - unless of course our 'volatile' Chairman decides to stick his kneb in, in which case we could lose a budding star.

......and a Team Manager.

I hate Team Twaddle. "Goma is also well aware that the implied criticism in that statement will not help to sell him to interested parties, at a time when he was prepared to knuckle down in the short- term and help the side out of their defensive crisis." My first response, who the hell does he think he is?... prepared to knuckle down etc, on £15k a week, plenty in the bank etc Second response, bastardos at TTwaddle - I hate hacks!
