The Community Services Building in downtown Toledo was damaged Saturday after a water main ruptured and flooded the building's basement.

Kim Sidwell, a spokeswoman for the agency, said about an inch of water was found Saturday in the basement.

She said she did not know whether the United Way of Greater Toledo offices would be open today for business. A damage estimate was not available last night.

The water main break occurred about 9 a.m. just outside the community building on Jackson Boulevard between Summit and Superior streets.

The flood disrupted the 13th annual Food Town Holiday Parade, filling part of the parade route with water and nearly surrounding the Community Services Building.
