Abuse of Shearer

No, I don't mean those daft Mancs, I mean the report on the NUFC.COM site saying that he was semi-crippled during the warm-up and could hardly walk. Now, it goes without saying that abusing the body of our most expensive asset is bad and could rebound on us in the future. And I suspect it was partly motivated by feeling like cack about last week's game. Two things: 1) Next time a smelly Makem says "Shearer lost you the derby" (or grunts to that effect) ask them whether they really believe that Sewpa Kev would turn out in the same circumstances. 2) Even Big Al's critics have to say the boy done good.

boy done good, not sure he touched the ball in the opposition penalty area though (not a criticism of him but of the team)

Given the circumstances he was bloody terrific - plus an assist on the winning goal for good measure.
