Repair Services for classic rangefinders

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Collectible and Classic Cameras : One Thread

Well, something's gone wrong in my Voigtlander Vitessa-L shutter (Synchro-Compur leaf shutter) that's been taking great pictures since I acquired it several months ago. It happened while I was shooting out in fairly cold weather, so I suspect there was something in there waiting to gum up, and now the shutter doesn't fire at all.

I took it to Professional Camera Repair here in New York, but their rangefinder technician seems to be out of commission for a few months with a broken arm.

Any suggestions or technicians you particularly trust for this sort of thing? Someone in New York would be great, but I'm willing to ship it within the U.S. and would prefer someplace with a reasonably quick turnaround.
