Sorry Screacher - I`m having a Tamala Motown sort of day, I`ll turn it down.(;o)

Bye for now Gus!(:o)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Thanks Gal. Stayed up far too late last night in a blues club. Great night but bliddy awful morning!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I luurrrrvvvvvvv Blues - John Lee Hooker, Howlin` Wolf etc. I bet it was a fun night!(:o)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

One of the better ones - to think, I've been coming to this town for ten years and never been to that place before :-( Still, Ten Year's After used to be one of my faves eons ago.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Any team news yet? Has YBR taken my advice?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

My lad's there instead of me today. He sent me an e-mail at 12:20 GMT asking where he should park (despite me sending him a bliddy map). Sirry irriot forgot I'm 6 hours behind over here. If anybody sees a black Astra Sri driving round in circles, with the driver looking lost, give him a kick up the @rsenal from me.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Morning from rainy, but no longer freezing, Baltimore. Been out to get my Sunday paper. CAt sitting here moaning for food while I'm trying to get the webcast going. Priorities, ya know(hey, I'm hungry too, but if I have to wait....) ;-)

Anyone having any luck with the webcast yet? I had a good luck Broon last night while at my friend's place watching U2 videos. Very nervous about today's game and no idea what to expect.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Team looks like: Given Lee Barton Hughes Griffin Solano Bassedas Speed Domi Dyer Shearer

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Anybody mind if I pop for a quick shower? No peeping mind.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Problems with my formatting! That's supposed to be a 3,5,1,1 formation with Barton in central defence and Griffin and Domi as wingbacks.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Hi all! anyone had any luck getting webcast yet(its 14:50)???

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Afternoon everyone. 4-4-2, Bassedas playing on the left should give us the balance I've been harping on about all week. Unfortunately my fears about Barton may be realised!

I have only just got the webcast on!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Has it finished? The Beeb seem to have 1-0 down as a result!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Jay - don`t panic - we`re in the lead - Solano scored!! (:o)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Something about Shearer having gotten kicked in the larynx??? Got a free kick out of it anyway. Didn't do anything with it. Not very good quality webcast today. sounds like their speaking through their socks

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Hard work from the lads? Lets see it in the second half when Liverpool have their spell of good stuff, when it matters most.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Jay, sounds like we are all ower them so far 1-0, twenty odd minutes gone first half

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

However - I`ll say no more than `so far, so good`. (:o)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Better than Radio 5 Ciara. Alan Green always sound like he's talking through his arse.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Just as we were last week too. I'm not gonna relax until we're at least 6-0 up...or the final whistle blows with us still in the lead...whichever comes first. ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

OH JEEZ!! Shearer fell "awkwardly" and holding his left knee. Still playing.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

AS holding his left knee.......

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Get Shearer off. No point risking him being out longer.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Thank you all there is a god come on the toon!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

ciara - if jonno were here, what would he be telling you.....?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Interesting from the Beeb:

Crunch game for Leeds and Arsenal

Taylor anger at Taggart dismissal

Man Utd flourish buries Derby

Ferdinand in ball

When was Taggart sacked?? Was 3 nowt not good enough.......or is it cos he didn't go to the derby last week?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Oops Sorry!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I dunno...I'm having a fit of Dougals right now. We need more goals!! :-)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

oi Screach!

Shay saves twice!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Given is brilliant isn't he!!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Err - why won't they switch off the italix? Sorry!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Last line of defence comes to the rescue again! Well done Shay.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Evening all. Looks like a bit of a de javu from last week!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Shaky days ????

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Whoah - bit of pressure now!!! Shearer seems to be taking some stick too - good job he`s tough.

Oh bliddy hell - more pressure - Given`s doing OK so far though!! (:o|

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Good decision Linesman! Pick it up lads

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

more goals. no doubt about it.

they hit the crossbar, offside though. I have no nails left after last week lads...please remember that....

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Will we never learn?! Howay lads!!! Don't let them back into it!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Morning Hiro, aye, one up early, great first twenty, now we are effin about again.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Will having Bobby Lee in the middle make the difference in keeping the team together and making sure the f*** ups don't continue, Another good decision Linesman, nice man.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

This just sounds too familiar. Why do we let teams get so much posession??

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

For heavens sake!!! We`ve got to be able to take a bit of pressure without caving in!!! NOW COME LADS SORT IT OUT - Lets go in 2 - 0 up!!!(:o|

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Kieron Dyer 'coming from behind again', sorry gone to make a cup of tea now. Don't worry about the result everybody my Toon away top is tucked away in the wardrobe only comes out for spectating victories this season.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

The last 4 Beeb updates are all about Scouse pressure:

29 mins: Sami Hyypia flicks a header onto the angle of cross bar and post and the ball evades Robbie Fowler who is ruled offside.

28 mins: Shay Given saves from a point blank Robbie Fowler header that is directed at the goalkeeper.

26 mins: A Steven Gerrard shot is deflected for a Liverpool corner.

23 mins: Hamann strikes an eight yard shot straight against Robbie Fowler and then handles the ball following up the rebound.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

DB.

My home top is now firmly back on the nail in the wall after [stupidly] taking ti down and wearing it for last week's match. Doh.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

"Sit doon, if you luv the Toon.........."

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

There's nee bias at the Beeb eh Screach.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Omens better this week then Min! Thankfully Owen isn't better, hand rubbing little gimp!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

PiC - yer right. Now just remind me, who is it we have to complain to? Where is he when you need him? Neewhere - we never need him. Howay me bonnie lads!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Hamann making himself popular with the home crowd. Or trying to win an Oscar. :-/

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

That Jorman is a prick!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Even if teams do put us under pressure after going one up ( which you would expect!) We seem incapable of catching them on the counter.

Are we to predictable?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

aye...if i see that clip of Owen one more time..it's getting as bad as Ronnie Radford and Hereford. GRRRR

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Oh-oh! Barton in trouble again? I just lost the webcast - what decision has the ref given - did Barton clock Hamann one?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

37 mins: Hamann goes down clutching his face after a clash with Warren Barton.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Mebbe that will gee the lads up, that Jorman trying to get Barton sent off. If Barton had hit him, he would still be sleeping.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

That's ma boy, Wogsie!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Apparently Barton's centre partin created a bit too much of a breeze as he ran past Hamman, causing Hamann to fall over like he'd been shot. :-|

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Shit!!!! I don't have my shirt on!!! Its not even dry OI have just got over a bad cold should I chance wearing a wet shirt????

Ahhhhhhhhhhh sorry folks job interview tomorrow I am a bit spaced out!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Dietmar Hammann - sleeps with the fishes....

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Ah so it`s that Oscars time of the year again!!!(:o) Dorty Jorman!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Should we be playing Shearer deeper insteaad of knocking balls direct to him, against Hyypia and Henchoz he's going to get little change.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Well all entries must be in by Dec 31..he's just trying to beat the last minute rush. ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

It's a bliidy good job you didn't burn yer bra then Jay, eh! Good luck the morra.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Jay - don't mind us...carry on pet....

; o )))

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Living dangerously eh? Let's hope it's not going to be like last week. 1-0 up and then go to sleep. Maybe we're getting through our bad patch in the first half instead of the second and Bobby can get them sorted out at half time. How's Shearer's knee? Is that why they were saying on nufc.com he wasn't playing today? And what's up between Hammann and Barton?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

WHEW!!! Griffin clears off the line!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Isn't Griffin Brilliant?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Andy Griffin - we love you.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

YBR needs to give @em a good taaking to at HT.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Griffen`s earned his money this match!!!!

Good luck BTW Jay!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Seems the second half has come early. Blow the whistle ref, we're riding lady luck long and hard today!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

God damn Nick Ruddy Barmby you Hullish Git!!!!! Nice one who ever stopped it. Was it Shay??

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Sunday name for Sunday game:

42 minutes: Andrew Griffin tries his luck from 25 yards but his shot drifts wide of goal.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Barry, Hamman is an ar$hole and Barton can't stand him, he tried to get Barton sent off, rolling around like he was poleaxed whe Barton winked at him.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I take it Liverpool brought their 12th man today. :-/

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Speed picking up a reduced pay packet this week then.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

awww no - why didn't anyone tell me it was Neale Barry in the middle? No wonder.

Where's Nobby gone - he's hardly been mentioned..

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

The ref is obviously a Scouser.... What a dink!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

CMON LADS!!! BURY THE SCOUSE BAR STEWARDS!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Living dangerously eh? 3 off the line and one or two off the crossbar or post? They can do it as many times as they like because it's not going in today. I've got a bet on 3-0.

Well it's the half time dilemma . 11-50pm, work tomorrow. Do I have my half time cold one?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Min, Aunty says: Referee: Barry Knight.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Don`t feel very happy with this 1 - 0 lead, nor the ref. Off to feed the rugrats - back in a min! (:o)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Congrats and good luck on the interview, Jay!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

hiro. no option.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Whoever he is, he's having a bad game.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

You can't say "back in a min" on here Gal!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Cheers for the well wishes guys I am all organised honest! But the interview starts at 9am and finishes around 3pm with a session to the rack all this for more money!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I'll take your word for it Min. I don't have the webcast behind this bliddy firewaal so I just read what Aunty says.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Whoops !!! I was trying to change my default e-mail by "terminating my cookies" or whatever you call it and I re-posted by mistake. Sorry about that.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Ohhh Err Gers 5- Celtic 1

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Can't believe Leeds paid 18 million for Rio Ferdinand. They could have signed Marcie for 18 quid.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Is it raining where ever you are to??

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Bliddy Hell Min. Now why did you just have to mention stotties? Aal aah've got is a 3 week old muffin!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

No rain here Jay, sun just came through the clouds, looks like a glorious day, cold but sunny.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Dry in Northampton, has been all weekend. Got severly rained on yesterday watching a very drab England v Argentina.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Sounds like quite an ordeal, Jay. But if it's for more money, it can't be all bad. :-)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Just stopped raining here. First in about a month!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

No, it's not raining here Jay. Mind, there's a whore hoar-frost on the trees. Quite pretty. And I wondered why I felt so bliddy caad last neet on the way back from the pub.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Stopped raining here for the time being. Sun trying to come out.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Right lads. One last suck on your oranges and let's keep it tight at the back. Aal the best.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

The mention of stotties and cookies made me think - in a Geordie internet we should have stotties not cookies to expire.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I`m back! I`m getting so good at this now!!! I can feed the dogs quicker than a MacLaren pitstop!!!

No stotties today, just the tempting aroma of roast pork (with all the trimmings) followed by rice pudding with a meringue(sp) topping!

NOW COME LADS - LET`S D000000000000 IT!!!!! (:O)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

P L C

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

We're being out-muscled today, not a good sign. What about Acuna?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

The Liverpool defence is prone to mistakes but we can't force mistakes with only Shearer up front FFS. Basic isn't it????

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

" Come on Dyer get ya @rse into gear and earn ya munee"

Thats me match day shout that!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Min - how about a cheese savoury stottie from Greggs in the Haymarket - my lunch nearly every day for 3 years 1977-80.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

How's Dyer doing? Could be a good idea to swap for Acuna if we need a bit more bite in M/F.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Aye, time to sit Dyer and bring Acuna on. Once again it sounds like Dyer is being a "ghost" again. I could be wrong though, webcast isn't like seeing the match.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Thins is tho, isn't Dyer playing up front? What about Axel??

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

ooh..cheese savoury stottie...

it's nee good, i'm off to the kitchen. anyone want a beer while i'm there.....?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Lokks like we're settling in for an afternoon of defence. Lua-Lua on for the counter attack?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Caldwell warming up. Agree...think we need Cordone in place of Dyer. WE NEED ANOTHER GOAL!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Lokks like we're settling in for an afternoon of defence. Lua-Lua on for the counter attack? Up front with Dyer and Shearer playing behind those two but in front of Lee, Speed and Acuna. Caldwell on for Domi with Barton going to left back??

Toon army singing it loud.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Still only Scouse comments (apart from one about Shearer) from Aunty:

59 mins: Smicer mis-kicks a Barmby cross from eight yards out a minute after coming on and Babbel's follow up effort deflects wide.

58 mins: Vladimir Smicer comes on for danny Murphy.

57 mins: Gerrard just fails to get on the end of a through ball into the Newcastle area.

52 mins: Barmby can only poke the ball at Given after a Fowler dummy on the edge of the area takes him by surprise.

48 min: Markus Babbel booked for a foul.

47 mins: A 20-yard Shearer shot is blocked after the striker finds himself in space.

Half-time score: Newcastle 1-0 Liverpool.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Thats the point Screach. It's obvious that YBR told them to hang on, so why not bring in Acuna, at least he can win the ball, hold the ball, and he isn't afraid to go into the box or have a shot if he gets the chance. Once again Dyer has done nowt so far.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Are we playing or not???

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

The Toon Army sound in good voice !

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

we've got to start competing in the midfield. Start fighting and matching the comittment. Lua x 2 on the counter was the tactic last week at this stage. It didn't work then. I don't see it working now.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Don't think we've done much to mention this half Screcher.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Aw fluppin heck - this is getting as nerve wracking as last week! I was just thinking that it sounded like Domi was having a better game and he nearly nets an own goal! Dyer doesn`t seem to be making much progress either. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

This referee and his bliddy linesmen are w@nkers.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Our players seem so thick!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I`m with you on that one Min. Not a formula that did us any favours last week/ (:o( Bloody ref just about putting the ball in the net for them!!!!

Yahboo - you missed!!!

COME ON!!! NEWCASTLE, NEWCASTLE NEWCASTLE!!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Hope someone has filmed this and shows it to Dyer repeatedly. This is how we score goals....keep doing it! ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Sounds desperate. Half an hour to hang on somehow. If we win 1-0 Liverpool will feel as sick as we were against West Ham and Everton. I think it's the worst score to lose by - you feel like you could have at least drawn if only one of your shots hadn't been cleared off the line/hit the bar. If you lose by two or more you think you more or less deserved to lose, or if you score at least one yourself you have some scrap of consolation. Barton's nearly done it again ... So 1-0 sounds like a real sickener for them and a great result for us - so let's do it. Haway the lads!!! Now its 2-0§§§ I take it all back. Let's go for 3. Liverpool MUST BE ABSOLUTELY SICKKKKKKKKKK

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

We need another four I think!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

70 mins: Newcastle 2-0 Liverpool Kieron Dyer ends a brilliant dribbling run with a fine chip over Westerveld to double Newcastle's lead.

Woohoooooo!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Maybe that will give LKD the confidence boost he needs???

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Time to sit Shearer and bring on Acuna ...etc ...etc ...etc.......Well it worked with Dyer didn't it!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Eveyr hair on my arm and neck are standing up listening to 50000 screaming Geordies sing Blaydon Races! :-D

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Stick someone on McAllister he can cause no end of problems for us. He'll make Heskey play again.

Come on lads keep it going.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Don't relax now lads!! ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!!! And don't forget to defend too!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Time to double the concentration. How's Bassedas doing??

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Given deserves a victory and the rest of the team should be busting a gut for him.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

It's about time Shearer did something.............

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Deep breathes Gal you'llmake yourself sick mate!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

11 min. That's minutes. Not 11 Min's. Then again, could 11 Min's keep Liverpool from getting an equalizer? ;-)

COME ON LADS - ATTACK, ATTACK ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody else feeling less than confident? (:o(

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I've never known such a nervous bunch of individuals! Who is sorting this out on the pitch????

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

78 mins: Newcastle 2-1 Liverpool Heskey runs onto through ball and lobs the ball over Given for his 10th goal in 10 games.

Now come on. Dig deep and make this bliddy game count. We really need to hold on.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

How long left??

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

That's always been a problem DB, no one on the pitch tries to sort it out.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

I'd do my best, that's for sure ; o ))

HOWAY LADS!!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Is there a MOTD tonight? I'd love to watch this one (as long as we win!). They're always good games against Liverpool.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Howay Shearer...get your heed on this one

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Shearer has reponsibilities here. Good play from Dyer a shot then wins a corner, better play from the lad today.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Lets be honest. We need a midfield captain to sail the ship! When are we going to sub Shearer?

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Don't get me going about a skipper leading the line.........

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

6 1/2 mins now. This is going to be painful. HANG ON LADS!!!!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Come on Shearer nail this free-kick. Nearly a penalty there (Head rush for Shearer). A sub to waste some time. Corner to Scousers, given away by Registered Charity no.46598 Newcastle United FC.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

HANG IN THERE!!!!!! Three minutes to go!!!!! (:o)

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Come on lads!! A bit of foot on ball and draw a few free kicks!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

85 mins: Stephane Henchoz brings Dyer down on the edge of the penalty area. Referee awards a free kick after consulting with his linesman. Looked a penalty to me!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Dyer earning his money today. But where are we losing control of this one - Hammann and Gerrard over Speed and Lee? What are we doing wrong? You can't tell from a radio commentary at all can you? 3 minutes left.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Like I said Screach...the ref is a scouser.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Thank you God.

Nice relaxing start to the day then. Probably not a good idea to pop down to the Mayo Clinic for a quick health check. Still it gets the blood pumping thru the veins.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Ahhh.

Stop for a minute. Look around. Breathe. Smile.

Dontcha just LOVE winning...?

; o ))))

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Kieron Dyer scored a trademark goal as Newcastle condemned Liverpool to their second Premiership defeat in a week at St James’ Park.

The Magpies had been under pressure for much of the game after taking a fourth minute lead, yet with 20 minutes remaining, the England midfielder sped past Stephane Henchoz and clipped a delightful finish to put the game beyond the Reds.

They only just held on however, as Emile Heskey extended his marvellous scoring record to haul his side back into it and only a string of fabulous saves by Shay Given denied them a deserved equaliser.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

daylight's just arrived here....

think i'll go for a walk. It's gonna be a scorcher...

See youse all Wednesday.....

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Ahh...and back where we belong...top 10 and above S******d. More of the same on Weds please! :-)

Hope these goals get shown on the EPL show tonight!

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Errr......you don't suppose Nobby's or LKD's will feature in Fox's goal of the week do you?????

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

They should! :-)

The Sunday games tend to get little or no coverage in the highlights show. Wouldn't surprise me if they only show Leeds v Arse highlights and only mention our game.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Alan Green always sound like he's talking through his arse. he does, that's why his commentaries are all crap......mind you he wasn't at SJP today, it was that Makem loving tw@t John Murray.

-- Anonymous, November 26, 2000

Well, the Arse lost today, that leaves us only FIVE points from second place. Not bad overall.
