Did you Protest Today? I did!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

I protested today on the steps of the California capitol, Sacramento, CA! It was awesome! Over 5,000 protestors (some say 6-7,000). It was orderly. There were elderly people, veterans, children, teenagers, middle aged, you name it and they were there giving support to George and Dick. Hundreds of cars driving by honking their horns and waving the flag, or waving Bush/Cheney banners out their window. Mark Williams from 1530 KFBK was broadcasting a talk show from the corner of the Capitol. He was overwhelmed at the turnout and he had a hard time broadcasting due to the cheers and horn honking. If an end does not come to this nightmare this coming week, the crowd will double next Saturday on the steps of the Capitol of California.

Yes, I understand Hitler had a lot of supporters too. How can you in good conscience cheerlead for someone who seeks to quell the voice of voters and trample over the will of Americans?

You protested today Kritter?

Hitler was the leader of the NAtional SOcialist party hence the term NAZI. It seems that Gore is closer to socialism than Bush. So what exactly is your point Hawk?

Gore is a traitor, a sell out to communist China, and he and every last one of his followers and supporters(about 100,000,000n of them from the election results) should be hung on from the nearest tree branch, and left there as a deterent to treason and a warning on the consequences of betrayal. No comromise or negotation with my enemies, they are EVIL and therefore MUST DIE!!!

Yes, neat trick, I attended a rally in Trenton today, from 12-2:30. Tomorrow NYC, and next Friday, Mays Landing.

what,

Whether you want to call it socialist, communist, or capitalist doesn't make much difference when you are under the control of a FASCIST government ruled by an oppressive dictator.

We are only beginning to see the tip of the iceberg of the style in which Dubya likes to excercise his power of authority, and he is already beginning to resemble Hitler, a FASCIST dictator.

It won't be very long before half of the voters in this country will get on their knees and pray to God that He will forgive them for pulling that lever.

The "dems" seem to be getting a little shrill around here. Let me just point out the fact that "half of the people" did not bother to vote. When you all keep saying that "half of the people" will be disgruntled or ought to repent, what you really mean is that about 20% of the people will be disgruntled or were wrong. If 49% voted for Gore and 49% voted for Bush, that is only 49% of the VOTERS not the population. There were probably 5 to 10% who voted for both who are relatively independent and not strongly identified with one of the candidtates. That leaves about 40% of the voters, or 20% of the population that will feel strongly about the outcome of this election, one way or the other.

Personally, I do not feel that the name-calling and the vituperative lashing out manifested by some in this forum is at all helpful, respondable or productive.

oops!-- "responsable." Sorry it is getting late.

Who said "half of the people"??? Are you blind?

I said "half of the VOTERS", meaning those who voted in THIS election. Sheesh.
