The Supreme Court has now agreed to hear the case.

Well, I wasn't going to say anything more about this, unless there were some new developments.

I'd have to call this one both new and unexpected.

Way I see it, they would most likely do one of three things. One would be to overturn the ruling of the Florida Supreme Court, and give the problem back to Harris. Seems very unlikely, this court does not like that sort of thing, and telling a state supreme court how to interpret state law is something I'd be very, very surprised at. But it is possible.

Second would be for them to actually interfere in the counting of votes. Seems even less likely than the first option.

Third would be for them to order a complete hand count of the entire state, under the one man one vote - equal protection clauses. That one seems possible, but it would be a first for such a conservative court.

So ya got me! I've got no real clue. But, one thing for sure, this puts the whole matter into an entirely different arena.
