Tactics for 'pool

How are we going to stop Heskey? He's big, strong and can knock defenders off the ball easily. He also has a habit of falling on his arse and knowing our luck he'll be awarded a penalty. How about not marking him at all. Leave him in space to do what he does best.....

Scoring shouldn't be a problem. 10 crosses into their box should get 3 goals at least.

Heskey was useless against us at Leicester last season, hopefully he will be the same on Sunday. Tricky match for Goma to come back into as Heskey will be running him ragged but if Goma is fit he'll match him.

Berger's out which is good as well!

Apparently, YMO is doubtful also.
To be honest, I wouldn't be too disappointed if Caldwell played in this one - I think he'd match Heskey physically.

I would put Hughes on Heskey and play Caldwell and Goma as a back three, pushing Lee back into defensive midfield alongside Acuna, with Solano the attacking midfielder. Barton and Griffin as wingbacks supplying Shearer and Cordone with some decent crosses. I'd leave Speed on the bench to replace Lee when he's tired. Dyer coming on for either Barton or Solano.

It's not just stopping Heskey is it. HOW ARE WE GOING TO SCORE GOALS. Given our problems in that department I think we should go hard for a draw.

I think you might be close Rik. Not a bad plan. YBR did say he'd have to change something - and that could be it. Since we seem to loose control at crucial times (like the whole of the bloody second half) there is no room for poncy twats who won't shoot when they get the chance. Jees, I'd rather have Gallagher playing than Dyer. At least he has a go, even though the shot usually ends up way off target.
