Going to a match for the first time in 18 months

Last game I saw was Japan v Nobby's lot in a friendly last summer. I've just found out that one of my friends has just managed to get a couple of free tickets for the Toyota Cup. Real Madrid v Boca Juniors. Thank God it wasn't for last season's effort. Anyway, should be good and worth the money I suppose.

Soory mate...bit of a cryptic one. Ask a UK based Mag ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 24, 2000

Calling all UK based mags. Calling all UK based mags. What does DFS mean?

Kegsy,

I assume my mate LR is referring to DFS - The Sofa Company. - He thinks you're an armchair supporter! :o))

I'm actually a futon supporter. But in my defence, one of the last times that I saw Newcastle live was against Croatia Zagreb in the Champions League and as I was flying back to Japan the next morning it cost me an extra 150 pounds to make sure I didn't miss my flight. And no I didn't leave early unlike your "prawn sandwich brigade" :-)

:-)....BTW...I hear that your brigade is as good as ours :-)

I wouldn't know, I'm usually tucked up in my futon watching :)

Tee hee

MANCHESTER CITY bad-boy Danny Tiatto has warned Phil Neville to watch out for a "real tackle" when the two next meet, and launched an astonishing attack on city rivals United. The Australian international may face an FA rap after hitting back at Neville, following the England defender`s description of a challenge from his adversary in last week`s derby as "cowardly."

"I can`t believe everything that has been said," blasted the temperamental Tiatto.

"If that had been me, I wouldn`t have gone to the papers, I`d just get on with my own game but, as soon as you touch one of the United players, they all kick up a big fuss - it`s just pathetic.

"It was a very ordinary challenge, especially when you see some of the ones United put in every week.

"Phil and Gary Neville seem to have a moan every time something goes wrong them for them.

"What Phil said is a disgrace.

"If he wants to see me put in a real tackle, then I`m more than willing when I next come up against him.

"I jumped in the air and, if it had been deliberate, I wouldn`t have done that. I would have gone for the legs."

DB.....Tit(o) is a complete and utter wanker. Phil Neville said nothing about the tackle until DAYS aftyer the incident...after the media and the fans had their say. He then watches it on TV and realises that it was a bad tackle....intent there....and he calls the bitter blue bastard "a coward". Nothing more.

Small-time twat!

LR could be correct, Danny Tito reminds me of Nige Winterbum too much , same expression made famous in his supporting role in the ----- ? -----sending off.

-- Anonymous, November 24, 2000

Oh how Winterburn must CRINGE when he relives THAT moment........... :-)
