Creating VCD compatible mpgs using ati ALL-In-Wonder?

hi i was wondering if it is possible to make mpegs that are vcd compliant using the ati all in wonder card. if so what are the settings?

Yeah, you can. But which card have you got? I use the AIWPro 8mb AGP2x, all i can suggest is that you capture to AVI first and dont use ATI's native mpeg encoder.

For PAL AVI's use 352*288 @25fps with 44khz/16bit/stereo For NTSC AVI's as above BUT with 352*240 @ 29.97 fps

When you've captured, encode to vcd using any half decent mpeg1 or 2 encoder, i recommend TMpegEnc or Panasonic for the best results.

Its always best to encode to mpeg from avi 'offline', doing it realtime always produces bad/marginal results, even though you can save time, its not worth it.

Finally burn your mpegs to vcd using Nero Burning Rom etc, etc....
