MATCH 15 LIVERPOOL (home)

Well, I hope everyone has been able to come to terms with that awful capitulation that masqueraded as a home performance last Saturday against those stinking barbers poles, but I'm sure we have all pulled ourselves together, and it's down to business once again for another home game this week against Liverpool.

I seem to be referring, with unerring regularity, to the fact that in the Premier League we have a fairly balanced record against the opposition, but again it is the case in games against 'Pool at SJP with two wins, two defeats and three draws.

Our best win in those matches was the first EPL meeting between the two sides back in Nov 93 (which incidentally was 'that' match) when we won 3-0 and our worst defeat was in Aug 98 and that was the televised 1-4 reverse with Owen getting a hat-trick. (I recall watching the match with Tynedale, Lady Tynedale and Dan down at the George in Chiswick)

As a point of interest we haven't beaten Liverpool at SJP since the 2-1 win of the 4th of November 1995, so we must be due a win soon, let just hope its this weekend.
