I've explained my problem at length here. Is it a good solution? Does anyone have any other ideas? Help me out here...

Hey Sarah! I think that you can get away with doing it the way you suggested. I guess what it has to do with is whether or not you think that she'll take it badly or not. I mean, some people are really touchy about their spouses and can't understand why someone wouldn't like them. If you don't think that she would take offense, then go for it!
