THE NEW DEMOCRATIC EMBLEM

It is said that the Democrats are considering changing their emblem from a donkey to a condom. A condom stands for inflation, halts production, encourages cooperation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives one a sense of security while being screwed.

Too Funny. A condom also reduces welfare costs, reflects tried and true technology, has the potential to reduce the number of future voters and has certain moral advantages such as reducing the need for abortion. Of course this would not do as it would remove a major issue that Democrats use to beat the Republicians over the head with by calling it the woman's right to chose instead of murder.

Another suggestion is the Gooney Bird. It has a tendency to get all excited, to fly off in all different directions, to not know what the h_ll it is doing and to appear to be accomplishing something in the process. It also has a tendency to get in the way of progress by getting in the way of technical advances such as the airplane causing it to crash with unfortunate effects.
