I took my Nikon to Konica AR adapter to the used photo store to see what lenses it will actually take. Turns out:

Non-Ai Nikon lenses - Work Ai Nikon Lenses - Do Not Work Ai-S Nikon Lenses - Do Not Work AF Nikon Lenses - - Do Not Work

Reason why only Non-Ai Nikon lenses work is the bottom of the lens is shallow, it does not have the "pins" at the bottom that a Ai, Ai-S or AF lens has, thus it can fit into the adapter.

Hope this helps anyone out.
