Millionaire

I'm still too depressed to talk about football, so how about this instead.

There's been a £1m winner on Who Wants to be A Millionaire. She's on the telly tonight, just so you can all get really peeved about it like I am.

And I bet she's a f**kin' makem too...

Chris Tarrant couldn't understand a mackem anymore than the rest of us.

Apparently she is a distant cousin of Camilla Parker-Bowles so obviously needs the money.

I watched the repeat of saturdays show last night on ITV2 and was strangely enough taking the piss out of her resemblance to the bulldog chewing a wasp (parker bowles) without knowing she was related!

She's a garden designer who owns a house worth 1/2 a million.....don't they means test these fuckers?!?!

They do, Gav, with the tricky qualifying question at the start:

"According to a popular song, put these four words into order -

Reid

Heed

F**kin

Monkey's"

Not being a suspicious person myself ..... but... does anyone think the timing of this to put it up against the demise of Victor Meldrew is a coincidence?

I kind of agree with Geordie here. Has anyone else noticed how the questions are more difficult after a big win? I've also noticed that if they have answered a question and then they go for a break before they tell you the answer then the given answer is always the right one. I had a feeling that there would be a million winner sometime soon, as the series is drawing to an and and we still hadn't had a million pound win in the year it has been on.

I don't believe the conspiracy theory but if you wanted to add fuel to the fire then you could also be cynical and say that it's suspicious that the million pound was won just after they'd raised the price of the phone calls (obviously because there aren't as many people ringing!)....

Letting the million be won will increase the number of phone calls at the new higher rate, raking them in a mint I imagine....
