FOX NEWS CHANNEL'S SHEPARD SMITH ARRESTED
Friday, November 17, 2000

An eyewitness reports...
"Smith was trying to park his car in a parking spot reserved for a news crew (they had moved the car to go get food for crews busy working live shots). A reporter was standing in the parking spot to prevent Smith from parking there."

"He intentionally ran into her with his car to try and get her to move from the parking spot. She was thrown onto the hood of the car and ended up on the ground. Smith then parked the car, turned off the engine, turned to the crews assisting the reporter and said "fuck you" and walked into the state capital. Police and paramedics were called."

"When arrested on the street outside the capital, Smith said he couldn't understand why this was happening... they then handcuffed him. He's in Leon County jail tonight awaiting first appearance hearing tomorrow morning. Reporter was transported to the hospital and treated and released... and, in fact, returned to the capital to finish her live shot duties before heading home."

Dare I ask, who is Shepherd Smith?

Uncle Bob:

I was going to mention this story on the thread that went so far astray as to discuss my friend's dad running over his mom, but it was so refreshing to discuss something other than politics that I decided not.

Jose,

Sheppard Smith does Fox's evening news. He's their equivalent of Peter Jennings or Dan Rather.
