Leicesters site response to my 'complaint'!

OK it may seem ive nothing better to do but heres my letter +reply to the leicester match report. Pleasant reply but shes obviously blinded by her own love for Leicester(and that blonde bombshell in midfield)

As a Newcastle supporter I was shocked and disappointed at your comments on Shearer in the Leicester match report. Your report was in general a good read and mostly a sound unbiased view. But how can you talk about Shearers 'violence' and not criticize the horrendous behaiour of Savage espec in the first half- those challenges could easily have seriously injured someone. Shearer might whine a bit and throw himself about, but he gives as good as he gets. If everyone was a good a pro as Shearer football would be an even better game. Why spoil a good match report by accusing an opponent of something your own team did '10 times' worse? Spud

Dear Spud, Thanks for your comments about my match report, but I'm afraid we shall have to agree to disagree on this one! I do not doubt Shearer's ability, and I can see why he is loved by his fans, but that should not cloud the fact that he shown again and again what dirty player he can be. Every time he comes to Filbert Street we get to see first hand his total contempt for fair play. There is no need for it with the talent he has, and I do not understand why he does it. I'm sure he;s a lovely bloke, and Tim Flowers says he is, so he must be, but why does he do it? I fail to understand why even more so that the media still regard him as a darling and never report any of his shocking challenges. If was a City player that had done a challenge like the one on Saturday it would have been all over the papers and referred to the FA by now. With regard to Robbie Savage I never cease to be amazed, as do all Leicester fans, why the media has this vendetta against him, and why they have portrayed him, incorrectly, as an animal. They can't bear a popular hard working lad with a daft hair cut it seems. Sav is quite simply one of the most daft loveable blokes you could ever meet, and his committment, enthusiasm and passion for the game has made him the player we all love the most. First name on the teamsheet each week for us. He hasn't a bad bone in his body and would never intentionally hurt anyone. He gets a little over excited sometimes I admit, and aint right bright sometimes, but the media have given fans an image that is simply not true. You would know that if you go to watch him week in week out giving his all for his club. We have spent all season watching referees dishing out yellow cards to Leicester for winning the ball in the air and tackling players and getting the ball. It appears to be turning into a non-contact sport - especially when you play against the so called bigger clubs and the golden few such as Shearer / Man Utd etc. I despise cheats. I gave Emile Heskey stick for years with his falling over and rolling around. I would never condone any of my players cheating, which is why I would be the first, through the website, to slate any City player that I thought was a dirty player. I would also have no hesitation in going down to the training ground on the Monday morning to give them a piece of my mind! Maybe for our next meeting you could write an article from a newcy point of view for our game preview for Forfoxsake? Lynn www.forfoxsake.com
