Are we having fun yet?

Clarification:

The aforementioned question in my preceding post, supra, was merely of a rhetorical nature and need not be responded to, nor even considered in any reasonable depth whatsoever, as its primary purpose was to take advantage of, and effectuate, an opportunity in making this thread immediately available to the wider audiences who, in their best judgment, taking into consideration their computer's response time necessary in flipping over to the main page and reverting back again, as well as other factors, some of which may have inherently psychological implications to the point of possible various neuroses or even more serious underlying pathological causes in rare cases, have chosen to focus primarily and/or solely on the New Answers page.

I'll have to check it out from home; no sound card here at work.

:-(

(I hadn't been following, and I usually do, but does anyone know how Comedy Central's Indecision 2000 was going? Was it as funny as other years? Not funny at all? Played out?)

Eve, great fun. I was just discussing that with my mom last night, how much wonderful humor has come out of this mess. The internet has been hysterical this past week. Just trying to get through a fun thread at Freepers is sometimes impossible.. as I laugh to the point of exhaustion.

The best I've seen so far is the little video, with the Palm Beach cars flying off a highway when they can't follow the exit arrow, and the ballot set up like a Florida Lottery scratch off card.

I keep printing out anything I find of great humor, and squirreling it away into mylar bags to be stored in my basement for future kritterdoms to enjoy. I hope someone is archiving all this stuff, somewhere...!

'Sumer, I only looked at the Dubya Dance at your suggestion -- I 'bout to fell on the floor LOL-ing! Didn't even need any music. Thank YOU.

Patricia, did ya try the Dubya without the music? (actually, WAS there music with this?) It's still great!

Are you referring mainly to Jon Stewart? I've been following Jon Stewart's show, which is crackin' me up -- although I'm kinda new with him. Did you know you can get through to the Comedy Central sites from the link I gave? Somewhere in there they show some of the best quotes from the show.

kritter, I almost spit my coffee out laughin' when I READ your thing about the Palm Beach cars -- I didn't even have to see the cartoon!

What's "Freepers"? When it comes to laughs, I just can't get enough. In fact, it's wild when you get to the point when you can barely catch your breath -- you know, when your mouth's wide open and nothing's comin' out, and you're literally falling on the floor helpless and tears are flowing and stuff's coming outta your nose, and...and...well, you get my drift.

Eve, Freepers is just a nickname for FreeRepublic.com. Really a serious site, but when they get going on a thread..the humor is top notch.

Sample of Freeper Fun

Eve, thanks for all your postings in the last few weeks (2nd posting on this thread = lmao!). I've been looking for political cartoons to document this in my journal and you've provided them. Thanks again.

Mar ;-)

Another Good Freeper thread while I'm at it...

Some of the jokes in this one are priceless.

Thanks, kritter...I'll check it out ASAP.

You're very welcome, Mar. Glad I could help.

From last night's Top Ten:

Top Ten Things the Founding Fathers Would Say If They Were Alive Today

(just IMO the best of this list for now)

10."Remember that electoral college thing we made up when we were drunk? They're still using it!"

9."Maybe that ruthless monarchy thing in England wasn't such a bad idea after all..."

7."That's odd -- in my day, we also had a senator named Strom Thurmond"
