'Monkey' Burgos Is Ready For Mallorca Return
Mallorca coach Luis Aragones will select Argentinean international goalkeeper German `Monkey' Burgos for the first time this season ahead of his side's clash this weekend in Las Palmas.

Burgos had not been inscribed initially in the Spanish league because he would have taken one of Mallorca's five licences for non-European players, but he has now been given the place of his injured compatriot Carlos Roa, who will be sidelined for the next six months.

Burgos arrived in Mallorca at the beginning of last season. At the end of the campaign he was included by new manager Aragones on the club's transfer list, but he wouldn't accept any offer. The spectacular `Monkey' has always insisted that he still wanted to succeed at the club and now he may have a second opportunity.

He said: `Only my pride kept me here. I didn't want to go through the back door. Now I'm anxious to wear the Mallorca shirt again.'

However, he will not be granted the goalkeeping position in the team's starting line-up against Las Palmas. Another of his fellow countrymen, Leo Franco, is Aragones' first choice.
