A computer glitch at the National Australia Bank allowed
$6.3 million to be withdrawn with a debit card that had
been cancelled months earlier, the Adelaide Magistrates
Court heard yesterday.

Senior prosecutor Peter Brebner said the accused, Mau
Ung Hua, Thanh Hua, An Than Tran, An Man Tran, Ty
Lai and others yet to be located, went on a three-month
spree. They made more than 6800 withdrawals with the
card, averaging about $60,000 a day between July 27
and October 20.
