I just got my three hundred and fourty-fourth email

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Poole's Roost II : One Thread

... saying that, because I had visited some site or another (which I hadn't) and because I'd agreed to receive spam (which I hadn't) that I NEEDED to know about their special on Warbling Widgelmeisters for only $49.99 a pop (Mastercard, Visa, Amex and gold coins accepted).

At this point, it is meet that I should pass along this link:

Death to Spam. Steve Rimmer, creator of Graphics Workshop (the only shareware I know of that insists that a "leather winged demon of the night" will come rip your heart out if you don't register), has written the definitive treatise on this one.

A good Revenge program, anyone? :)

(I wouldn't mind this crap QUITE so much if the people at least knew correct grammar and how to spell. "Learn who tapping you phone!" screamed one ad that I recently received -- a dozen times -- over a period of two months.)

(If anyone tapping me phone, they can be just as bored as I am trying to carry on a conversation.)

(I'm not a phone person. Never have been.)
